The SSI-2008, the two-yearly update of the SSI, has been
launched.
Since the first publication of the SSI in 2006 now the first update
is available, the SSI-2008. It presents the level of sustainability
of 151 countries and shows progress over a period of two years.
The good news is that the world has made a small step towards sustainability
in this period. The world average SSI-score improved by 0.1 points
to 5.7, on a scale of 0 to 10. However, the bad news is that with
respect to issues which may be of decisive importance for this century
like renewable energy and emission of greenhouse gases, the world
is still in decline.

downloaded here.
